Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
Read freeze frame data using hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool, as freeze frame data records the engine conditions when a malfunction is detected. When troubleshooting, it is useful for determining whether the vehicle was running or stopped, the engine was warmed up or not, the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, etc. at the time of the malfunction.
- Connect hand-held tester, and read value of input shaft revolution sensor data.
PREPARATION:
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Drive the vehicle in 1st gear.
CHECK:
Read the input shaft revolution sensor data.
OK:
- Input revolution sensor data x 0.073 = (Rear right speed sensor data + Rear left speed sensor data) / 2
- OK: Replace transmission control ECU.
