Brake Actuator Assembly: Replacement
- DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Using SST, disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.

- Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.
- Pull the lock lever upward.
- Disconnect the actuator connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts, the nut and the actuator with bracket.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.
- Using SST, disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY
- Remove the 2 nuts and the brake actuator assy from the brake actuator bracket.
- INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY
- Install the brake actuator assy with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.4 NVm (55 kgfVcm, 48 in.Vlbf)
- Install the brake actuator assy with the 2 nuts.
- INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Install the actuator with bracket and the 2 bolts and the nut.
Torque: 19 NVm (194 kgfVcm, 14 ftVlbf)
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness. - Connect the actuator connector.
- Using SST, connect each brake tube to correct positions of the actuator with bracket, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 15 NVm (155 kgfVcm, 11 ftVlbf)
- Install the actuator with bracket and the 2 bolts and the nut.
- FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM )

- CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
- CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM )
- CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
- PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (See PRE-CHECK )
- CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH HAND-HELD TESTER (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
