Power Steering Vane Pump: Installation

  1. INSTALL PS VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Insert the mounting bolt A to the PS vane pump assembly.
    2. Set the PS vane pump assembly in installation position.
    3. Using SST, install and torque the PS vane pump assembly mounting bolts.

      1. SST 09248-63010
      2. Torque: 30 N.m (305 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbf) 
    NOTE: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 345 mm (13.58 in.).
  2. CONNECT OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR 
    NOTE: Be careful to prevent oil from being attached to the connector.
  3. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE 

    Connect the pressure feed tube with the union bolt and new gasket.

    1. Torque: 51.5 N.m (525 kgf.cm, 38 ft.lbf) 
  4. CONNECT SUCTION HOSE 

    Connect the suction hose with the clip.

  5. INSTALL DRIVE BELT 

    Hook SST on the hexagonal portion of the drive belt tensioner bracket and slowly compress the drive belt tension by turning the drive belt tensioner bracket clockwise, and install the drive belt.

    1. SST 09249-63010
    NOTE: Compress the drive belt tensioner by taking 3 seconds or more and installed the drive belt.
  6. INSTALL RH ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  7. BLEED POWER STEERING SYSTEM (See  BLEEDING  )
