Valve Body Assembly: Installation

  1. Install manual valve.
  2. Install detent spring. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install solenoid valves using the following steps:
    1. Install 3 new "O" rings to solenoid valves.
    2. Install solenoid valve and lock plate with bolt. See Fig 1.
    3. Install 3 solenoid valves with 2 bolts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install valve body using the following steps:
    1. Align groove of the manual valve with pin of lever. See Fig 2.
    2. Install valve body and bolts. See Fig 3. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Connect 4 connectors to solenoid valves.
  6. Install oil filter. See DRAINING & REFILLING  under LUBRICATION.
  7. Install oil pan and bolts. See DRAINING & REFILLING  under LUBRICATION. Tighten to specification.
  8. Fill and inspect automatic transmission fluid. See DRAINING & REFILLING  under LUBRICATION.
