Pin Voltage Tests

Using voltmeter, check voltage between specified Engine Control Module (ECM) terminals with ignition on. See Fig 1. ECM is located behind glove box and contains 5 electrical connectors. See Figure. If voltage is not within specification, repair wiring harness or replace components as necessary. If voltages are within specification, ECM may be faulty.
If necessary to replace ECM, see ENGINE CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Ensure ignition keys are registered to the ECM. See KEY REGISTRATION IN AUTOMATIC REGISTRATION MODE under PROGRAMMING.
