Shift Lever: Installation

Install shift lever assembly in reverse order of removal. After installation, check and inspect the following:

• When the shift lever is in the "R", "N" and "S" positions and the ignition switch is on, the shift lever is able to move.
• When the shift lever is in the "R", "N" and "S" positions and the ignition switch is off or in ACC position, the shift lever has been locked.
• Perform test drive of the vehicle.
