Body Control Ecu Basic Inspection

- Basic inspection confirms that body control ECU is functional and able to identify faults in systems and circuits it monitors. Before proceeding, ensure battery open circuit voltage is 10-14 volts. If battery open circuit voltage is not 10-14 volts, charge or replace battery as required.
- Ensure OPEN DOOR indicator light illuminates when any door is opened. If indicator operates properly, proceed to RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If indicator does not operate properly, diagnose and repair OPEN DOOR indicator light. See OPEN DOOR INDICATOR LIGHT under COMPONENT TESTS.
