Disassembly and Assembly: Disassembly

- Remove sliding pin bolts, and then remove the pads, shims, shim covers, and pad retainers from the torque member.
- Remove sliding pins and sliding pin boots from torque member.
- Place a wooden block as shown in the figure below, and blow air from union bolt hole to remove pistons and piston boots.WARNING: Do not get your fingers caught in piston.
- Remove piston seals from cylinder body, using a suitable tool.CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage cylinder inner wall.
- Do not reuse piston seals.
- Remove the bleed valve and cap.
