Combination Meter: Inspection

  1. FUEL SENDER GAGE ASSY 
    1. Check the fuel sender gauge (main) resistance.

      1. Remove the fuel sender gauge.
      2. Measure the resistance between terminals 2 and 3 of the fuel sender gauge at each float distance, as shown in FUEL SENDER GAUGE STANDARD RESISTANCE .

        Standard resistance: 

        FUEL SENDER GAUGE STANDARD RESISTANCE

        F Approx. 26.6(1.05) Approx. 2.0
        E Approx. 138.9(5.47) Approx. 38.7

    2. Check the fuel sender gauge (sub) resistance.
      1. Remove the fuel sender gauge.

      2. Measure the resistance between terminals of the fuel sender gauge at each float distance, as shown in FUEL SENDER GAUGE (SUB) STANDARD RESISTANCE .

        Standard resistance: 

        FUEL SENDER GAUGE (SUB) STANDARD RESISTANCE

        Float Level Float Distance mm (in.) Resistance (Ω)
        F Approx. 2.4 (0.09) Approx. 2.0
        E Approx. 172.2 (6.78) Approx. 71.3
  2. ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Check oil pressure switch continuity.
      1. Check that continuity exists between the terminal and body ground with the engine stopped.

      2. Check that no continuity exists between terminal and ground with the engine running.
    NOTE:

    Oil pressure should be over 29 kPa (0.35 kgf/cm2 , 4.3 psi).

  3. FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Check the front seat inner belt RH continuity.

      1. Disconnect the connector from the seat belt inner belt RH.
      2. Check the continuity between terminals 1 and 4 when the buckle switch is ON and OFF, as shown in FRONT SEAT INNER BELT RH CONDITION AND CONTINUITY the table.
        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT RH CONDITION AND CONTINUITY

        Condition Continuity
        ON (Seat Belt Unfastened) Continuity
        OFF (Seat Belt Fastened) No Continuity
  4. FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Check the front seat inner belt LH continuity.

      1. Disconnect the connector from the seat belt inner belt RH.
      2. Check the continuity between terminals 1 and 4 when the buckle switch is ON and OFF, as shown in the table.
        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT LH CONDITION AND CONTINUITY

        Condition Continuity
        ON (Seat Belt Unfastened) Continuity
        OFF (Seat Belt Fastened) No Continuity
  5. LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Check the washer level warning switch continuity.
    2. Check that no continuity exists between the terminals with the switch OFF (float up).
    3. Check that continuity exists between the terminals with the switch OFF (float down).
