Shift Lock Control Unit & Solenoid
- Inspect shift lock control unit assembly as follows: Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage at each terminal. See Fig 1. See SHIFT LOCK CONTROL UNIT VOLTAGE table.NOTE: Do not disconnect the shift lock control unit assembly connector.
- Inspect shift lock solenoid as follows:
- Disconnect the solenoid connector.
- Apply battery positive voltage between terminals 1 and 2. See Fig 2. Check that operation noise can be heard from the solenoid. If the solenoid does not operate, replace the solenoid.
