Body & Frame: Windows: Windshield: Removal
- REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR
- REMOVE SUN VISORS AND HOLDERS
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
- Pry out clips by your hand.
- Pull the garnish upward to remove it.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- REMOVE WIPER ARMS
Remove the 2 wiper arm head caps, 2 nuts and 2 wiper arms.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVERS
- Remove the hood to cowl top seal.
- Remove the 7 clips, then pull out the cowl top ventilator louver RH and LH.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP
- REMOVE FRONT SIDE OF ROOF HEADLINING (See REMOVAL or REMOVAL )
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD MOULDING
- Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown.NOTE: Do not damage the body with the knife.
- Remove the remaining moulding.
- Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown.
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS
- push piano wire through between the body and glass from the interior
- Tie both wire ends to wooden block or similar objects.
HINT:
Apply protective tape to the outer surface to keep the surface from being scratched.
NOTE:
When separating the glass, be careful not to damage the paint and interior and exterior ornaments. To prevent scratching the safety pad when removing the windshield, place a plastic sheet between the piano wire and safety pad.
