Bench Testing: No-Load: V6

  1. Connect the battery and ammeter in series to the starter. See Fig 1.
  2. Verify that the starter rotates smoothly and steadily with the pinion gear moving out.
  3. Check that the ammeter displays the specified current of 90 amps or less at 11.5 volts.
