Body & Frame: Windows: Windshield: Removal
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE
- Using a screwdriver, remove the front door scuff plate.NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the front door scuff plate.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING COVERS
Using a screwdriver, remove the front door opening covers.
NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. - REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnishes.NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnishes.
- REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Open the box cover.
- Remove the 3 screws and map light assembly, then disconnect the connectors.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
- REMOVE SUN VISORS
- Remove the 2 screws and sun visor, then disconnect the connector.
- Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
- REMOVE SUN VISOR HOLDERS
Remove the 2 screws and 2 sun visor holders.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP
- REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR
- w/Electrochromatic mirror system: Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the Torx screw and inner rear view mirror.
- REMOVE WIPER ARMS
Remove the 2 nuts and 2 wiper arms.
- REMOVE COWL LOUVERS
- Remove the hood to cowl top seal.
- Remove the 2 clips and cowl louvers.
- PULL DOWN FRONT PART OF ROOF HEADLINING
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOLDING
- Using a knife, cut off the molding as shown in Fig 6.
NOTE: Do not damage the body with the knife.
- Remove the remaining molding.
- Using a knife, cut off the molding as shown in Fig 6.
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS
- Push piano wire through between the body and glass from the interior.
- Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects.

NOTE: Apply protective tape to the outer surface to keep the surface from being scratched.NOTE: When separating the glass, take care not to damage the paint, and exterior ornaments. To prevent scratching the safety pad when removing the windshield, place a plastic sheet between the piano wire and safety pad. - Cut the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around it.
- Remove the glass.
NOTE: Leave as much of the adhesive on the body as possible when cutting off the glass.
