Leaf Spring: Installation
- Install the shackle and leaf spring with 3 bolts, washers and nuts. Tighten to 125 ft. lbs. (170 N.m).
- Install the spring bumper, spring seat and 2 U-bolts with the 4 washers and nuts. Tighten to 98 ft. lbs. (133 N.m). See Figure.
- Install rear wheel. Tighten lugs nuts to 81 ft. lbs. (110 N.m).
- Lower vehicle.
NOTE:
Tighten the U-bolts so that the lengths of all the U-bolts under the spring seat are the same.
