Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminals Ts and E 1  of DLC1.

    CHECK: 

    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Measure voltage between terminals Ts and E1 of DLC1.

    OK: Go to next step. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    OK: If ABS warning light does not blink even after Ts and E 1  are connected, the ECU may be defective. 

    NG: Go to next step. 

  2. Ignition switch OFF, and check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between ABS ECU and DLC1, DLC1 and body ground (See  HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS  ). 

    NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 

    OK: Check and replace ABS ECU. 

    Check for Fluid Leakage 

    Check for fluid leakage from actuator or hydraulic lines.
