Speed Sensor Rear LH (4WD): Replacement

NOTE: Replace the RH side by the same procedure with LH side.
  1. Remove rear wheel  .
  2. Remove rear door scuff plate outside LH  .
  3. Remove rear floor finish plate  .
  4. Remove deck trim side panel assy LH  .
  5. Remove speed sensor rear LH  .
    1. Disconnect the speed sensor connector, and pull out the sensor wire harness with grommet.

    2. Remove the 2 clamp bolts holding the sensor harness from the body and shock absorber.

    3. Remove the bolt and speed sensor rear LH.

    NOTE: Do not stick and foreign matter on the sensor tip.
  6. Install speed sensor rear LH  .
    1. Install the speed sensor rear LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE: Do not stick and foreign matter on the sensor tip.
    2. Install the sensor harness clamps with the 2 bolts to the body and shock absorber.

      Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) 

    3. Push in the sensor wire harness with grommet and connect the speed sensor connector.

  7. Install deck trim side panel assy LH  .
  8. Install rear floor finish plate  .
  9. Install rear door scuff plate outside LH  .
  10. Install rear wheel  .

    Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf) 

  11. Check ABS speed sensor signal (see  PRE-CHECK  )  .
