Abs Actuator: Notes

NOTE: Do not keep motor relay on for more than 5 seconds continuously. When operating it continuously, set the interval to more than 20 seconds.

Connect TOYOTA hand-held tester to DLC3. Start the engine and run it at idle. Select ACTIVE TEST mode on hand-held tester. Check operation sound of the ABS pump motor when operating the hand-held tester. If operation sound of the ABS pump motor is heard, pump motor is okay. If no sound is heard from the ABS pump, check and replace ABS actuator assembly. See ACTUATOR/ABS ECU under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
