Yaw Rate Sensor Zero Point Calibration
NOTE:
While obtaining zero point, keep vehicle stationary. Do not tilt, move or shake vehicle. Be sure to perform test on level surface.
- Shift vehicle to Park and turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Using Special Tool (09843-18040), repeat a cycle of connecting and opening circuit between terminals Ts and CG of DLC3 four times or more within 8 seconds. Check that TRC OFF indicator light is lit, indicating recorded zero point is erased.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect terminals Ts and CG of DLC3.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Check that lit TRC OFF indicator light turns off about 15 seconds after ignition switch is turned to on.
- Ensure that TRC OFF indicator light remains off for 2 seconds. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Even if ignition switch is not turned off, yaw rate sensor zero point calibration can be completed. In this case, TRC OFF indicator light will light for about 15 seconds, then start blinking (normal code). Make sure that indicator light blinks for 2 seconds, then turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration. If vehicle is driven without this calibration, deceleration sensor zero point calibration malfunction will be detected and VSC warning indicator will turn on. See DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.
