Air Conditioning: Receiver: Removal

  1. Discharge Refrigerant From Refrigeration System 
    NOTE:
    1. Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
    2. Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
      1. Specified amount: 650 +/- 50 g (22.92 +/- 1.76 oz.) 
  2. Remove Radiator Grille 
  3. Disconnect Two Liquid Tubes From Receiver 

    Remove the two bolts and disconnect the both tubes.

    1. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in..lbf) 
    NOTE:
    1. Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
    2. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.
  4. Remove Receiver 
    1. Remove the holder bolt and pull receiver downward.
      NOTE: If receiver is replaced, add compressor oil to compressor.
      1. Add 20 cc (0.71 fl.oz.) 
      2. Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 
    2. Remove the bolt and holder.
