Air Conditioning Unit: Installation

  1. INSTALL A/C UNIT 
    1. Install the A/C unit with the 2 nuts.

    2. Connect the connector.
    3. Install the 2 rear heater ducts.

    4. Install the floor carpet.
  2. INSTALL BLOWER UNIT 
    1. Install the blower unit with the bolt, nut and 2 screws.

    2. Connect the evaporator temperature sensor connector.
    3. Connect the connectors.
    4. Install the 2 connector bracket set screws.

    5. Install air duct RH.

  3. INSTALL REINFORCEMENT AND INSTRUMENT PANEL. SEE  REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  . 
  4. CONNECT 2 WATER HOSES 
    1. Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as the second ridge on the pipe.

    2. Install the hose clip in a position, as shown in Fig 7 .

  5. CONNECT LIQUID AND SUCTION TUBES 
    1. Lubricate 4 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the both tubes.
    2. Connect the both tubes and install the piping clamps.

    3. After connection, check the fitting for claw of the piping clamp.

  6. FILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT 
  7. CHARGE SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 
    1. Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
    2. Charge system with refrigerant.

    Specified amount: 800 +/- 50 g (28.22 +/- 1.76 oz.) 

  8. INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT 

Using a gas leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.
