Section 396 (Front Wiper System & Washer System): Installation

INSTALL No. 2 COWL WATER EXTRACT HOSE
INSTALL No. 1 COWL WATER EXTRACT HOSE
INSTALL WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
1. Install the wiper motor with 3 screws to the wiper link assembly.
  Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
2. Connect the wiper link to the wiper motor.
3. Install the wiper motor and link assembly with 4 bolts to the outer front cowl top panel.
  Torque: 7.4 N.m (75 kgf.cm, 65 in.lbf)

INSTALL OUTER FRONT COWL TOP PANEL
Connect the wiper motor connector, then install the panel with 11 bolts.

Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf)

INSTALL WASHER NOZZLES
INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVERS
INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
INSTALL WIPER ARMS
1. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF.
2. Install the wiper arms and tighten nuts by hand.
3. Adjust the installation position of the wiper arms to the positions shown in the illustration.

  A: Approx. 25.0 mm (0.98 in.)
  
  B: Approx. 32.0 mm (1.26 in.)
4. Torque the nuts.
  Torque: 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
5. Install the wiper arm head caps.
