Hood Courtesy Switch

  1. Hood courtesy switch is incorporated into the hood lock assembly and contains a Black 2-pin electrical connector with Blue/White and White/Black wires. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect hood courtesy switch electrical connector. Using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between both electrical terminals on hood courtesy switch electrical connector with hood lock assembly in the locked position and that continuity exists with hood lock assembly in the unlocked position. Replace hood courtesy switch if continuity is not as specified.
