Door Key Lock & Unlock Switch

Remove door panel from driver's side front door or passenger's side front door for access to appropriate door lock assembly which contains the door key lock and unlock switch. See Figure.
Disconnect 6-pin electrical connector at door lock assembly. Note electrical terminal identification on door lock assembly and switch positions. See Fig 1.
On driver's side front door, using ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 5 with switch in LOCK position and that continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 6 with switch in UNLOCK position. See Fig 1. On passenger's side front door, using ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals No. 2 and 4 with switch in LOCK position and that continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 4 with switch in UNLOCK position. See Fig 1. On all applications, replace door key lock and unlock switch with door lock assembly if continuity is not as specified.
