Back Door Courtesy Switch

  1. Back door courtesy switch is incorporated into lock assembly for back (rear liftgate) door and contains a 2-pin electrical connector with Red and White/Black wires. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect electrical connector for back door courtesy switch. Using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between the 2 electrical terminals on back door courtesy switch with back door courtesy switch in lock (rear liftgate closed) position and that continuity exists with switch in unlock (rear liftgate open) position. Replace back door courtesy switch with lock assembly if continuity is not as specified.
