Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. ECM is located behind passenger's side kick panel, just below instrument panel. See Figure. Remove passenger's side door opening scuff plate, passenger's side kick panel and glove box for access to ECM. Disconnect electrical connectors at ECM. Remove retaining bolts and ECM.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure ignition keys are registered to the ECM. See IGNITION KEY REGISTRATION  under PROGRAMMING.
