Deceleration Sensor

CAUTION: DO NOT apply a voltage of 6 V or more to terminals.
NOTE: When inspecting deceleration sensor, remove it with the bracket together. DO NOT remove the sensor from the bracket. When replacing, replace with bracket.

Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series. Connect VGS terminal to batteries' positive (+) terminal, and GGND terminal to batteries' negative (-) terminal, apply about 4.5 V between VGS and GGND terminals. See Fig 1. Check the output voltage of GL1 and GL2 terminals. If sensor is tilted too much it may show the wrong value. If dropped, the sensor should be replace with a new one. DO NOT place sensor upside down.
