NOT Using TOYOTA Hand-Held Tester
NOTE:
If the ignition is turned from ON to ACC or LOCK during test mode, DTC will be erased.
NOTE:
Sensor check may not be completed if vehicle has its wheels spun or its steering wheel is turned during the check.
- Turn ignition switch ON. Using special tool (09843-18040), connect terminals Ts and CG of DLC3. Start engine. Check that the ABS warning light blinks. If it does not blink, inspect the ABS warning light circuit and Ts circuit. See SYSTEM TESTS .
- While the vehicle is stationary, release the brake pedal for 1 sec. Then depress the brake pedal with a force of 10 kgf (98 N.m) for more than 1 second. While the vehicle is stationary, quickly depress the brake pedal. At this time, ABS warning light remains lit for approximately 3 seconds.
- Drive vehicle faster than 28 mph for several seconds. Stop vehicle and using tool (09843-18040), connect it to terminals Tc and CG of DLC3. Read number of blinks of ABS warning light.
- For DTC definitions, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . If every sensor is normal, a normal code is output (A cycle of 0.25 seconds ON and 0.25 seconds OFF are repeated). If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered code will be displayed. After doing check, turn ignition off and remove tool.
