Retrieving Trouble Codes
- Locate Data Link Connector (DLC) No. 3 below left side of instrument panel. See Fig 1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect Toyota hand-held scan tool to DLC No. 3. Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off. Using scan tool manufacturer's instructions, check for DTCs.
- If any DTCs are present, perform appropriate DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX table. If no codes are stored and cruise control system fault still exists, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX under SYSTEM TESTS.
