Anti-Theft Systems: Description
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation involving steering column components. See appropriate
AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
When anti-theft system is set (armed), system will lock all doors, flash headlights, taillights, and sound alarm if one of the following conditions occur:
- Hood, liftgate or any door is opened without key.
- Battery cable is disconnected and reconnected without key in ignition lock cylinder.
- System receives panic signal from remote keyless entry system.
