Wireless Door Lock Control Receiver Circuit

  1. Disconnect wireless door lock control receiver harness connector. Measure continuity between ground and terminal No. 1 (White/Black wire) at wireless door lock control receiver harness connector. See Figure. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in White/Black wire between wireless door lock control receiver and ground located at left rear quarter panel.
  2. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Red wire) at wireless door lock control receiver harness connector. If 10-14 volts exists, go to step  4. If 10-14 volts does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Remove and check MPX-B (7.5-amp) fuse from instrument panel fuse block. See Figure. Replace fuse as necessary. If fuse was okay, check continuity of Red wire between terminal No. 5 at wireless door lock control receiver and MPX-B fuse. Repair as necessary and install MPX-B fuse.
  4. Reconnect wireless door lock control receiver harness connector. Measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 3 (Red/Black wire) at wireless door lock control receiver harness connector. See Figure. If 10-14 volts exists, go to next step. If 10-14 volts does not exist, repair Red/Black wire between wireless door lock control receiver and terminal No. 9 of body control ECU 22-pin harness connector terminal B7. See Figure.
  5. Measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 3 (Purple wire) at wireless door lock control receiver harness connector. Turn ignition off, remove key from ignition and depress any transmitter button while observing voltage. If voltage reading is between 6-7 volts, replace wireless door lock control receiver. See WIRELESS DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If voltage is not 6-7 volts, repair faulty circuit in Purple wire between wireless door lock control receiver harness connector and terminal No. 10 of body control ECU 22-pin harness connector terminal B7. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
