Test No. 14: Only One Interior Light Does Not Operate

  1. Check light bulb on the light that is not operating. If light bulb is okay, go to next step. If bulb is defective, replace light bulb and recheck interior light operation.
  2. Check wiring harness and electrical connectors for interior light that is not operating. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article. Body Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is located at driver's side of instrument panel on the fuse/relay box. See Figure. Electrical connector B4 (25-pin) and electrical connector B5 (25-pin) are located at each side of body ECU and a 12-pin electrical connector at rear of body ECU. See Figure. Driver's door ECU and passenger's door ECU are located on each door and is incorporated into the power window switch assembly. See Figure. Repair wiring harness or electrical connector as necessary.
