Trunk Opener Main Switch & Trunk Opener Switch

  1. Trunk opener main switch is located at driver's side of instrument panel and may also be referred to as luggage compartment door opener main switch. See Figure. Trunk opener switch is located in the glove box and may also be referred to as luggage compartment door opener switch. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at specified switch. Using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between the 2 electrical terminals on the switch with switch button released to the OFF position. Check that continuity exists between the 2 electrical terminals on the switch with switch button depressed to the ON position. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
