Test C: Motor Circuit

  1. Remove driver's seat. Disconnect each motor harness connector. Check seat movement when battery voltage is applied to each motor. Check slide motor by applying voltage as shown. See Fig 1. If seat moves in each direction, go to next step. If seat does not move in each direction, replace motor.

  2. Check front vertical motor, rear vertical motor and reclining motor as shown. See Fig 2. If seat moves in each direction, go to next step. If seat does not move in each direction, replace motor.

  3. Check harness and connectors for poor connections or defects between power seat control ECU and motor. If defects are found, repair as necessary and retest circuit to verify repair. If defects were not found, go to TEST D: POWER SEAT CONTROL ECU .
