Section 29 (Thermostat): Inspection: Installation

Place Thermostat In Cylinder Block
1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
2. Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve upward.

NOTE: The jiggle valve may be set within 10° of either side of the prescribed position.
Install Water Inlet
Install the water inlet with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 9 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf)
Install Generator (See GENERATOR )
Install Drive Belt
Fill With Engine Coolant (See COOLANT )
Start Engine And Check For Leaks
Recheck Engine Coolant Level
