Security Indicator Light Circuit

  1. Remove blower switch control assembly. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery lead to transponder key amplifier connector terminal No. 6 (Red wire) and negative battery lead to terminal No. 4 (Blue/White wire). If security indicator light comes on, replace heater control assembly. If security indicator light does not come on, go to next step.
  2. Check connectors and wiring between ECM and security indicator light. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, check connectors and wiring between security indicator light and body ground. Repair or replace as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next step.
  3. Replace ECM. Ensure ignition keys are registered to ECM. See IGNITION KEY REGISTRATION  under PROGRAMMING.
