Driver's Power Window Motor Circuit Breaker Test: MR2

  1. Slightly lower driver's window. Disconnect harness connector from body ECU. Connect battery positive lead to terminal No. 5 (Red wire) at body ECU connector (harness side). See Fig 1.
  2. Connect jumper wire from negative terminal of battery to terminal No. 4 (Green wire) at master switch connector (harness side). Window should raise to fully closed position. If window operates correctly, go to next step. If window does not operate correctly, go to POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST . Continue to apply voltage. Check for an audible click from circuit within 4-90 seconds.
  3. Disconnect leads from terminals. Wait 90 seconds, then connect jumper from positive terminal of battery to terminal No. 4 (Green wire) at master switch connector (harness side), and jumper from negative terminal of battery to terminal No. 5 (Red wire) at master switch harness connector. Ensure window begins to descend within 60 seconds. If operation is not as specified, replace power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If operation is as specified, power window motor circuit breaker is okay.
