Diagnostic Procedure
- Check for open or short circuit in wiring harness Brown/White wire between terminal NEO (connector A16-15, Brown/White wire) at ABS/TRAC ECU and terminal NEO at ECM (connector E8 terminal No. 16). Repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Remove ABS/TRAC ECU. Do not disconnect electrical connectors. Measure voltage between ground and terminal NEO at ABS/TRAC ECU with ignition switch in ON position and engine off. Voltage should be 3-6 volts or less than one volt. With engine started and idling, voltage should be 2-3 volts and pulsating every 3 milliseconds. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, substitute a known-good ABS/TRAC ECU and retest system. If problem is still present, replace ECM.
- Clear DTCs and then recheck for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DTCS under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If same DTC is output after DTC is cleared, check contact condition of each connection. Repair as necessary.
