Trunk Key Lock & Unlock Switch

  1. Remove trim panel from trunk for access to trunk key lock and unlock switch located on inside of trunk lid. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at trunk key lock and unlock switch. Connect DVOM between electrical terminals on trunk key lock and unlock switch.
  3. Check that no continuity exists between electrical terminals on trunk key lock and unlock switch with key in normal position. Check that continuity exists between electrical terminals on trunk key lock and unlock switch when key is turned to unlock position. Replace trunk key lock and unlock switch if defective.
