Trunk Courtesy Switch

  1. Remove trim panel (if necessary) for access to trunk courtesy switch. Trunk courtesy switch is located near trunk latch assembly. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at trunk courtesy switch. Connect DVOM between electrical terminal and body of trunk courtesy switch. See Figure.
  3. Check that no continuity exists between electrical terminal and body of trunk courtesy switch with trunk courtesy switch in OFF (closed) position. See Figure. Check that continuity exists between electrical terminal and body of trunk courtesy switch with trunk courtesy switch in ON (open) position. Replace trunk courtesy switch if defective.
