Camshaft Position Sensor Resistance: Corolla

- Disconnect electrical connector from camshaft position sensor. Camshaft position sensor is located just above the intake manifold on cylinder head, at flywheel end of engine. See Figure-32. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between electrical terminals on camshaft position sensor.
- Ensure camshaft position sensor resistance is within specification. See CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table. Replace camshaft position sensor if resistance is not within specification. See REMOVE/INSTALL/OVERHAUL article. Reinstall electrical connector on camshaft position sensor.
