Trunk Courtesy Switch

  1. Remove trim panel (if necessary) for access to trunk courtesy switch. Trunk courtesy switch is located near trunk latch assembly. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at trunk courtesy switch. Connect ohmmeter between terminal No. 1 and body of trunk courtesy switch. See Fig 1.
  3. Check that no continuity exists between terminal No. 1 and body of trunk courtesy switch with trunk courtesy switch in OFF position. See Fig 1. Check that continuity exists between terminal No. 1 and body of trunk courtesy switch with trunk courtesy switch in ON position. Replace trunk courtesy switch if defective.
