Test No. 13: Trouble Code Circuit

  1. Locate DLC1. See Figure. Connect voltmeter positive lead to terminal Tc and negative lead to terminal E1. See Figure. Turn ignition switch to ON position and ensure battery voltage exists between DLC1 terminals. If voltage is as specified, go to test for next trouble code displayed or appropriate symptom under TROUBLE SHOOTING BY SYMPTOM  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. If voltage is not as specified, ensure no short or open exists in harness or connectors between CC ECU and DLC1 or between DLC1 and ground. Repair or replace as necessary. If harness and connectors are okay, check CC ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS . If found to be defective, replace CC ECU and retest system.
