Pump Motor Relay

  1. Remove pump motor relay, located on actuator. Using a DVOM, check continuity between specified terminals. Continuity should not exist between relay terminals No. 1 and 2. Continuity should exist between relay terminals No. 3 and 4. Using fused jumper wire, connect positive battery terminal to pump motor relay terminal No. 4. Connect negative battery terminal to pump motor relay terminal No. 3. See Fig 1.
  2. Continuity should exist between relay terminals No. 1 and 2. Continuity should not exist between relay terminals No. 1 and 4. If continuity is not as specified, replace pump motor relay.
