Key Unlock Warning Switch Circuit

Turn ignition switch to OFF position and disconnect key unlock warning switch. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Check for continuity between key unlock warning switch terminals. Continuity should exist with key in ignition switch. Continuity should not exist with key removed from ignition switch. If continuity is not as specified, replace key unlock warning switch. If continuity is as specified, check harness and connectors between key unlock warning switch and ATS ECU, and also between key unlock warning switch and body ground. Repair or replace harness and connectors as necessary. If harness and connectors are okay, check ATS ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS . If found to be defective, replace ATS ECU and retest system.
