Intake Air Control Valve: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets. Tighten bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure No. 1 and 2 air intake chamber support braces are installed in correct location with "R" and "F" identification marks facing upward. Refer to Figure.
  2. Ensure gasket for intake air connector is installed on air intake chamber with protrusion toward rear of air intake chamber. See Figure. Use NEW "O" ring coated with soapy water solution when installing dipstick tube. Fill cooling system.
