Code Detection Test Drive

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove EFI (15-amp) fuse for at least 10 seconds. Reinstall fuse. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Accelerate and test drive vehicle at 50-60 MPH for 10 minutes. Stop vehicle and idle engine for 2 minutes. Accelerate vehicle to 60 MPH for one minute. Stop vehicle and turn ignition off for at least 3 seconds.
  3. Accelerate and test drive vehicle at 50-60 MPH for 10 minutes. Stop vehicle and idle engine for 2 minutes. Accelerate vehicle to 60 MPH for one minute. If malfunction exists, MIL will illuminate during last test drive.
