Fuel Pump Relay

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove fuel pump relay. See Fig 1. Fuel pump relay is located on passenger's side of underhood compartment and contains a Gray 4-wire connector.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between specified terminals. See Fig 2.
  3. Check fuel pump relay operation by applying battery voltage and ground. Check continuity and voltage between specified terminals. See Fig 3. No continuity should exist between +B1 and FP terminals. Voltage should exist between PR and FPR terminals. Replace fuel pump relay if defective.
