Circuit Description

No. 1 Vehicle Speed Senor (VSS), driven by transfer case, outputs a signal to combination meter. Combination meter converts signal to a more precise waveform for ECM. Code is set when ECM does not detect any signal while vehicle is in motion. Possible causes are:

• No. 1 VSS open or short circuit.
• No. 1 VSS failure.
• Combination meter.
• ECM.
