Power Mirror Switch Test

NOTE: Mirror motor connectors may vary in configuration from vehicle to vehicle of the same model.

Remove power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between appropriate mirror switch terminals. Continuity should exist between specified terminals. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST  table. See Fig 1- Fig 2 . If switch fails any test, replace switch.

POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST

Application (1) Terminals No.
Switch In Left Position
Up 2 & 6; 1, 3 & 8
Down 3 & 6; 1, 2 & 8
Left 1, 3 & 6; 2 & 8
Right 1, 2 & 6; 3 & 8
Switch In Right Position
Up 2 & 5; 1, 3 & 7
Down 3 & 5; 1, 2 & 7
Left 1, 3 & 5; 2 & 7
Right 3 & 7; 1, 2 & 5
(1) Continuity should exist between specified terminals. See Fig 1.
