DTC 12 Or 13 - Rpm Signal
NOTE:
Diagnostic charts for DTCs 12 and 13 are not available from manufacturer.
DTC 12 is caused by loss of "G" or "NE" signal from distributor to ECM for at least 2 seconds after starter signal is recieved at ECM. Check Distributor and igntion system components. See SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article. Ensure starter signal exists at ECM. See T100 (3.0L) DTC 43 - STARTER SIGNAL .
DTC 13 is caused by loss of "NE" signal from distributor to ECM when engine RPM exceeds 1500 RPM. Check distributor and ignition system components. See SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article.
